2018-2019年度中文课程 Mandarin language classes offered in 2018-2019 school year

我们学校为小学生和中学生开设不同程度普通话中文课程，学生最低年龄要求在九月份达到5岁。学生选择的课程级别要取决于教师课堂测试、学校评估和家长的反映。

Mandarin language classes with various levels are offered to school age children, starting from the minimum age of 5 in September. The choice of language class is based on tutor's classroom tests, school's assessment and feedback from parents/guardians.

从2016起，应家长的要求，我们开办了快乐汉语班给非中文背景的孩子。快乐汉语班的课程根据这些孩子的需要选择了特别设计的教材和有相关经验的老师以帮助这些没有中文基础的孩子能更好地学习中文。

From 2016, the school started to offer Mandarin lessons (Happy Chinese) to children from non-Mandarin speaking family. The class is tailored to their needs by using the purposely designed textbooks and arranging an experienced tutor in teaching non-Mandarin speaking children.

由于都使用相同教材， 原2017-18班级C4A并入新年度C4A。 原2017-18班级C4B并入新年度C4B。
为了将年级编号与所使用教材统一起来，原2017-18班级Class 5 在学新年度依然使用年级编号Class 5。
Due to the same textbook, the last school year (2017-18)’s C4A are combined into the new school year’s C4A. the last school year (2017-18)’s C4B are combined into the new school year’s C4B.
For the purpose of aligning the class code with the number of textbooks, the last school year (2017-18)’s Class 5 are numbered as the same code Class 5 in new school year.

目前在校生自动进入下一年级，A班和B班不变。如果家长和学生想留在原来的年级，选择不同的班或者需要帮助选择新的班级，请发email给学校 ed_accs@yahoo.co.uk确认和商榷。
The current students are progressed into same class (Class A or Class B) in next level automatically. If any student want to stay in same level, change class or is not sure which level/class to choose, please contact the school via email ed_accs@yahoo.co.uk

成人商务汉语班 Business Chinese

This course is to introduce the basic knowledge of the Chinese economy, the essential aspects of contemporary Chinese human relations and behaviour and major business etiquette and aims to enable the learners with basic knowledge about Chinese language in business environment, to enable the learners to read simple business materials in Chinese, and to communicate effectively with Chinese businessmen as well as Chinese people as a whole.
By the end of the course, students are expected to recognise and write 260 Chinese characters related to business, to master related grammar patterns and enable them to have a better grasp of basic Business Chinese and can communicate in the routine tasks.
This course is organized by Scottish Confucius Institute for Business and Communication at Heriot-Watt University and Alba Cathay Chinese School.
The course will start from Saturday, 06/10/2018, from 11:00 - 12:00 on every Saturday during Chinese School term date. here will be 26 weeks for 2018/19.
The total cost for this course is £129.95

兴趣班 Activity classes

针对学生的不同兴趣，学校会在每周的中文课后从11:00 到12:00提供各种不同的兴趣班供学生选择。只有在中文学校上中文课的学生才可以参加我们的兴趣班。
The school provides a nubmer of activity classes from 11:00 to 12:00 after the Chinese Language class. These classes are only open for student who enrolled into our language class.

兴趣班需最少不低于5人才开班。如果报名学生少于5人，学校会与报名的学生和家长协商转到其他兴趣班，或者退还学生的学费。
It requires a minimum of 5 students to run an activity class. If an activity class can not run, student who has paid can enter other activity classes or the fee will be refunded.

美术班 Art classes

美术(小班)：生活美术 - 学生生活内容、动物等
卡通初阶 - 卡通人物的基本造型
适合5~7岁
初阶学习技巧：运笔，形状、对衬、色彩认识

美术(中班)：文化美术 - 中西文化、节日等
卡通进阶 - 卡通人物的动作表情
适合8~10岁
中阶学习技巧：立体、透视、阴影、创意表达

美术：素描练习 - 静物与人物的表现
插画练习 - 故事、诗词的演绎
适合11岁以上
高阶学习技巧：构图、质感、特色、个人风格

We provide art classes for students of different levels, with different skills. Courses are divided to two main categories:

1. traditional style and
2. animation/illustration style

Students are advised to choose and will be arranged into equivalent classes according to their age and current drawing levels.

Art (beginner class): basic training - topics of daily life, animals and so on
cartoon characters - basic shapes and mood of cartoon characters
Suitable for 5 to 7 years old
learning skills: pencil holding, shape, size and balance, color awareness

Art (junior class): cultural and art - Eastern & Western culture, festivals etc.
cartoon motions - mood and actions of cartoon figures
Suitable for 8 to 10 years old
learning skills: three-dimensional, perspective, shadow, highlight and creative expression

Art (senior class): sketch exercises - still life and character performance
illustration exercises - story, poetry interpretation
Suitable for ages 11 and above
learning skills: composition, texture, characteristics, highlight and personal style

书法班 Chinese Calligraphy

华夏中文学校书法班旨在培养学生对中国汉字书写的兴趣，提高审美修养，感受中国汉字的独特魅力。使学了解汉字基本笔画的正确书写及汉字结构的合理搭配。书法班教授硬笔及软笔书法，从楷书的基本笔画，结构学起。
无论科技发达到何等程度，电子设备使用如何普及，写一手好字永远是个人修养的体现，受人尊敬，对孩子将来从业，参加社会活动等都会有所帮助。
本班学习硬笔及软笔书法。从临摹汉字笔画开始，到学写楷体汉字、阿拉伯数字。学生有一定基础及兴趣后可学写隶书、扁魏、行楷及行书等字体。
在过去的一年里，书法班的学生们第一次参加了第十一届全英中文书法大赛。在全英参赛的47所学校，共995份作品中，书法班学生参赛的三份作品分别获得一，二，三等奖，并荣获书法教育先进集体奖。 年龄：6-7岁以上
学生自带文具为：毛笔、墨汁、钢笔、水写纸、描红本（任课教师可提供哪里可以买到）

This class studies hard and soft pen calligraphy. From the beginning of copying Chinese characters strokes to learn to write Chinese regular script and Arabic numerals. Students can learn to write official script, Chen Wei, Xingkai , running script and other fonts after they have a certain foundation and interest.
Age: 6 to 7 years age or above
Students need bring their own stationery: Brush, ink, pen,water writing paper and calligraphy exercise book for children (The teacher will provide where to buy)

音乐班 Music

华夏中文学校室内乐团(Alba Cathay Chinese Chamber Ensemble）：本课程旨在培养学生对中国音乐的兴趣及文化素养，学习中国音乐，并通过各种演奏机会锻炼学生公开演出的能力。 本校室内乐队主要由弦乐（包括小提琴、中提琴和大提琴）及其他乐器组成，各项乐器正接受报名。
报名乐队的学生，要能看谱演奏。我们需要的信息是姓名，年龄，能演奏乐器的名称和水平。然后由老师开学面试读谱程度。
We are looking for students who can read music and play a string instrument to join our Chinese school orchestra. We would require the students to audition to find out if they would meet the standard required.
在过去一学年，室内乐团得到多位大同学的支持，参予了多次公演：学校二十周年的春晚演出、苏格兰中文朗诵比赛开场音乐，爱侨中文学校邀请演奏中国名曲《二泉映月》，并在八月加盟爱丁堡华人艺术团MELA嘉年华会成功演出。 在本学年，学生将会继续学习中国曲目，并为日后演出作准备。希望各位同学踊跃参予音乐课。

舞蹈班 Dance

学校舞蹈班成立多年，节目多次代表学校参加爱丁堡艺术节嘉年华的表演，也曾被爱丁堡总领馆，爱丁堡学联， 当地社区和相邻中文学校特邀参加表演，并一致受到好评。更有学生慕名来参加我们的舞蹈班。 如果您的孩子爱好跳舞，或有一些舞蹈基础， 学校舞蹈队将是你的孩子展示才华的平台， 也是发展潜能和扩展兴趣的舞台。

戏剧表演班 Drama

戏剧表演班，致力于打造轻松愉快的教学环境，使孩子爱上表演，爱上舞台，增强自信心。通过学习戏剧表演，不仅可以增强孩子舞蹈，唱歌和表演的综合能力，还可以增强孩子的沟通和团队合作意识。如果您的孩子喜好表演， 戏剧表演班将是他们发展潜能和扩展兴趣的舞台。

靳梦，表演班老师。毕业于北京第二外国语大学英美文学专业，后于北京电影学院进修表演。曾任北京电视台出镜记者，并多次参加北京电视台，江苏卫视等地方卫视的综艺节目演出。
目前在Royal Conservatoire of Scotland深造表演艺术，在Edinburgh College学习戏剧产业。老师曾在Churchill Theatre, Roxy Assembly和Lyceum Theatr都有过精彩的演出。参演节目获得一致好评，并得到戏剧评论人的4星好评。

Meng Jin, the teacher of drama class, graduated from Beijing International Studies University, majoring in English Literature, then went to study drama in Beijing Film Academy. She worked as a journalist in Beijing Television and participated in some TV shows in Beijing Television and other TV channels.
Now she is studying drama in Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and Creative Industries (Performing Arts) in Edinburgh College. She has been performed in Churchill Threater, Roxy Assembly and Lyceum Theatre which all received good response from the audience and also 4 stars from the critics.

成人书法班 Calligraphy for Adult

苏格兰华夏中文学校成人书法研习班简介
目的：通过学习汉字书法帮助爱好者掌握毛笔书写的基本技巧，提高书法艺术欣赏水平，加深认识和推广中国传统文化。同时，通过书法练习培养个人的专注力，纠正书写姿态，陶冶性情，丰富文化生活。
招生对象：爱好汉字书法的成年人。
学习内容：

第一期
1. 认识汉字书法基本工具（文房四宝）
2. 认识汉字基本结构
3. 毛笔的择笔、执笔，和基本笔法
4. 选帖、楷书临帖

第二期
1. 汉字字体和书体
2. 书体发展演变简介
3. 楷书的合体字的组合、构字部件的变化，运笔方法
4. 经典书法作品的欣赏和创作

主讲：郑文军教授
开班时间：两期共历时一学年30周，每周六上午11-12点集中上课，每课1小时。

成人健身（拉丁舞蹈）班

目的：拉丁舞那集热情奔放、优美高雅、前卫时尚为一体的舞蹈，不但能够培养高尚的气质，更能塑造完美的身姿，在热情洋溢的音乐声中跳出欢乐、跳出健康、跳出好的身材，更能让人暂时抛开工作与生活的压力，沉浸在音乐舞舞蹈中。因此，本学年成人健身班开设拉丁舞课。
招生对象：爱好拉丁舞的成年人。
招生人数：15
学习内容：

第一期
1. 恰恰舞基本步教学与其音乐节奏的掌握
2. 身体协调性训练与恰恰基本步组合个人展示
3. 恰恰花样套路组合与伦巴舞基本步教学
4. 伦巴舞音乐节奏的掌握与基本步动作细节优化

第二期
1. 伦巴舞花样套路组合学习
2. 伦巴舞花样套路动作细节优化
3. 桑巴舞基本步的学习与其节奏的掌握
4. 桑巴舞基本步组合的学习与所有舞蹈组合的复习
