06/12/2018 本学期最后日期和下学期开学日期变更 Term Dates Change and Confirmation

接到Boroughmuir学校的通知，本学期12月15号星期六他们要更新计算机系统，我们原来安排的课程取消，并挪至明年1月12号补上。
所以我们中文学校这个学期最后一节课就是12月8号。然后就放圣诞节和新年假期，明年1月12日星期六新学期开始。

Due to the IT system update work being carried out over the weekend of the 15th Dec 2018 at Boroughmuir High School, our class on the 15th Dec 2018 will be moved to the 12th January 2019. Therefore, the last school date of this term will be Saturday 8th Dec 2018. After Christmas and New Year’s holiday, our new term will start on the 12th January 2019.

商务汉语班 Business Chinese Course

今年我校和瓦特大学孔子学校联合开办商业汉语班，主要面向希望学习中文以及商业中文应用的成年人。从10月6日周六开始，每个周六11：00到12：00在中文学校上课。请大家转告想学中文的朋友。详情请看课程信息和报名链接。
Together with Scottish Confucius Institute for Business and Communication at Heriot-Watt University, we are now offering a new Business Chinese Course for beginner from Saturday, 06/10/2018. Please following the course details for more information and how to register.

2018/19学年日期 Term Date for 2018/19

2018/19 学年的日期已经初步确定并公布在网站Term Dates部分，开学是 星期六 08/09/2018，结束是星期六16/06/2019，总共三十周。
The provisional date for 2018/19 is now published in the term dates section. It starts from Saturday 08/09/2018 and finish on Saturday 16/06/2019, the total number of weeks is remain at 30.

14/05/2018 学期结束日期变动 Term close date change

为了补大雪取消的课程，本学期在6月16号增加一次课。这样本学期最后一次课是6月16号，然后开始暑假。
An additional teaching week will be added on 16/06/2018 so the last term date is Saturday 16/06/2018. Then the school will start the summer holiday.

30/03/2018 复活节后校址和课程安排 Venue and class plan changes after Easter Holiday

复活节假期后中文学校将在星期六 21/04/2018开始复课，同时将搬到Boroughmuir High School的新校址，地址是 111 Viewforth, Edinburgh EH11 1FL。
The school will resume from Saturday 21/04/2018 after the Easter break in the new building of Boroughmuir High School, address is 111 Viewforth, Edinburgh EH11 1FL.

同时由于教师的变化和新校址教室的情况，C4A和C4B两个班将合并成C4班，C5A和C5B将合并成C5班。在新校址的教室、教师安排如下:
Please note we are making changes to the class structure due to recent teacher changes and the classroom layout in the new school building. Classes 4A and 4B will now merge to form a single Class 4. Classes 5A and 5B will now merge to form a single Class 5.

重要通知/Important Announcement (02/03/2018)

今天接到St Thomas中学的电话，因为学校的大量积雪，这个周末关门，一切活动取消。我们的中文学校也只能暂停一次（03/03/18），请大家相互转告。

St Thomas of Aquin's High School have just informed us that the school is closed over the weekend due to snow. All activities classes need be cancelled. Thus, our Chinese school will cancel the class for Saturday, 03/03/2018.

学校过渡期安排通知/School Transitional Arrangement Notice (08/02/2018)

Boroughmuir中学从2月3日起搬迁，我们到复活节之后才能继续租用其新学校场地。我们已将2月10日的课挪至去年12月16日上完，2月3日将是现在地址的最后一次课，之后学校进入二月假期。因此，我校将于2月24日起在St Thomas of Aquin's中学做过渡安排，上课时间不变。
鉴于3月10日下午我校将举办2018春节元宵联欢会，3月10日上午的所有课程取消。
以下是过渡期上课时间和地址：
日期: 周六, 2月24日，3月3日、17日、24日
地点: St Thomas of Aquin's High School, 2-20 Chalmers St, Edinburgh EH3 9ES.

February 3rd will be the last lesson based at our current location. Boroughmuir High School will then move to its new location but it will not be available to us until Easter. We've therefore made transitional arrangements to hold lessons at the normal times at St Thomas of Aquin's High School starting from February 24th.
As we're going to celebrate the Chinese New Year on the afternoon of March 10, all the classes on that morning are cancelled.
The following dates and location apply during the transition period:
Dates: Saturdays, 24 February, 3, 17, 24 March
Location: St Thomas of Aquin's High School, 2-20 Chalmers St, Edinburgh EH3 9ES.

Important Anouncement of School Arrangement/学校安排重要通知 (01/12/2017)

经过校委会和校董会几个月时间的艰苦努力， Boroughmuir中学确认我们在其现在的老楼一直上课到2018年2月3日，它也计划让我们在2018年4月21日搬入其距现在位置几百米远的新楼上课。
由于2018年2月3日至4月21日期间， Boroughmuir新楼在周末安排了后续建筑检修施工，影响到我们原教学安排的6次课。
因此，我们将2018年2月10日的课挪到2017年12月16日上；为避免在其新楼开始日期延后的风险，我们特别在2018年1月13日安排一次上课。目前我们正在为2月24日、3月3日、10日、17日以及24日共5次课做适当的过渡安排，并制定灵活的计划应对 Boroughmuir 新楼延期开始的风险。这些过渡安排妥当之后，我们会及时通知大家。
特别明确一下，在现在 Boroughmuir 老楼，我们还有以下6次课，即： 2017年12月9日和16日； 2018年1月13、20和27日； 2018年2月3日。
谢谢大家在今年学校面临巨大挑战期间给予我们的巨大理解和支持，请大家相互提醒与转告此重要通知。
After the great efforts made by both School’s Management Committee and Board of Trustees, we are very pleased to announce that the Boroughmuir High School has now confirmed that in its current old building we are able to run our school until the 3rd February 2018 with a planned re-start on the Sat 21st April 2018 in its new building ( a few of hundreds metres away from its current location).
The gap between the 3rd Feb and 21st April 2018 is due to the post-contract building work which is scheduled at weekends. This will affect our 6 class dates originally scheduled. We therefore move the 10th Feb 2018 class to the 16th Dec 2017. To avoid any potential delayed re-start date, we add another class on the 13th Jan 2018. We are now making alternative arrangements for the other 5 affected classes on the 24th Feb, 3rd,10th,17th and 24th March 2018 together with a flexible plan for the potential delay due to new Boroughmuir building’s readiness for us to move in. We will let you know in due course once these alternative arrangements are made.
To clarify further, in the current old building we will have the following school dates: 9th and 16th Dec 2017; 13th, 20th, and 27th January 2018; and 3rd Feb 2018 Many thanks for your attention and great support during this challenging transitional period of our school. Please remind each other of this important announcement.
